Apple iPad Tablet
Apple's recently announced iPad has been met with very mixed reviews. The device runs the same operating system as the iPod Touche and iPhone, though the iPad has more powerful hardware under the hood. Unfortunately the device has the same software limitations as it's smaller brothers: no Flash support or the ability to run multiple applications at once. The device just might prove to be a better alternative to lots of e-readers on the market (such as Amazon's Kindle), but that's really going to be determined by how friendly the display is on the eyes. This particular device falls more into the "wait-and-see" category versus the "wait in line for 10 hours the day it comes out" realm. Apple needs to prove that they didn't just make a larger iPod touch to really compete against tablet PC's that are much faster and can run Windows 7 along with a lot more diverse applications.
